Hibiscus Breeze Rita

Hibiscus Breeze Rita

The Hibiscus Breeze Rita

Light, floral, and just breezy enough to make you forget what time it is.

May shows up with that “almost summer” energy, and this margarita leans all the way in. The Hibiscus Breeze Rita is what happens when you take something classic and give it a fresh, tropical glow up. It’s bright, slightly tart, and smooth enough to keep things easy.

Hibiscus brings a subtle floral note that feels like it belongs outside, preferably with a little sunshine and nowhere to be. Lime keeps it crisp, tequila keeps it honest, and the whole thing comes together like it was made for afternoons that stretch longer than planned.

This isn’t a heavy drink. It’s a linger-a-while kind of drink.

Hibiscus Breeze Rita Recipe

Serves: 2 Parrotheads or one who’s not sharing patio space

Ingredients

  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 2 oz chilled hibiscus tea (strong brewed and cooled)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 5 oz agave syrup, adjust to taste
  • Ice

For the Rim

  • Lime wedge
  • Sugar or a light citrus sugar blend

Garnish

Dried hibiscus flower or lime wheel

Instructions

Brew hibiscus tea a little stronger than usual and let it cool completely. Trust the process.

Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip into sugar. Or don’t. You make the rules.

Add tequila, triple sec, hibiscus tea, lime juice, agave, and ice to a shaker.

Shake until well chilled and slightly frosty.

Strain into your prepared glass over fresh ice.

Garnish, sip, and immediately question why you waited this long.

Parrothead Pairing Suggestions

Snack: Fresh fruit, light bites, or something you can snack on without leaving your chair
Mood: Patio lounging, sunshine chasing, and absolutely no rushing

A Toast to May Energy

Here’s to longer days, lighter pours, and not checking the clock.

The Hibiscus Breeze Rita doesn’t demand attention. It earns it. It’s easygoing, refreshing, and just a little elevated without trying too hard.

Which, honestly, is exactly how May should feel.
